FAQ's

Do I need a Doctor's referral?

No (unless specified by your health insurance company). We accept direct referrals, minimising any hold ups in your treatment, giving you peace of mind and a positive action plan without any delays.

What types of health insurance do you accept?

We are registered with Selected Health Insurers. Policies and cover varies widely now so it's best to check your documentation. Some plans require you to pay for your treatment as you go and claim the cost back (we can provide you with receipts), others will pre-authorise treatment and we will take care of the billing. There may still be an excess to pay on some policies, you will be responsible for any shortfall. If in doubt please give us a call prior to booking.

When do I pay?

Payment is due at the end of every appointment, unless you have private health insurance covering the cost of your appointment, in which case we have direct settlement arrangements. Our preferred method of payment is by card but we also accept cash. We are able to provide a printed receipt upon request.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

Not really, just yourself! However, if you have had any tests or investigations related to your problem (like a scan or X Ray), it can be helpful to bring these along. If you are being assessed for an injury which uses some equipment, it may be useful to bring this along e.g. running footwear.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable and appropriate for the area of your injury to be assessed thoroughly e.g. shorts for a knee injury. Your modesty will be respected at all times. Changing facilities are available.

Do you have parking facilities?

Yes, there is free parking at the clinic.

How do I change or cancel an appointment?

We would appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice if you are unable to attend so that we can re-allocate the appointment.  Appointment slots are very valuable and without adequate notice they can’t be used for another patient. We can send out email reminders to help you remember your appointment time.

Can I be accompanied during my appointment?

Yes, you are welcome to being someone along to accompany you during your consultation. In fact it is often very useful to have another pair of ears in the room to help remember things we have discussed.

Do you have a GDPR notice?

Yes we do, it can be seen here
