David is a Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the HCPC.
His qualifications include a postgraduate diploma (PG Dip) in Manipulative Physiotherapy and BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. He is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Physiotherapists (MACP), a group of just over 1000 physiotherapists who have displayed clinical excellence in the field of neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy with specialised post-graduate training in the assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal pain. He is a registered Acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and is qualified as an independent prescriber.
David graduated from the University of Southampton in 1999. Since then he has worked in the UK and New Zealand. His roles have varied from working with children and county sports teams to managing teams of physiotherapists in the NHS and private sectors. He spent 12 years working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist specialising in back and neck pain a post which involved requesting investigations such as X-rays and MRI scans and more recently has worked as an Advanced Practitioner in Primary Care offering first contact assessment.
He now lives and works in Bude where he runs Bude Physio.
When not at work, David enjoys spending time with his family. He can often be overtaken whilst running slowly along the coast path and is accomplished at embarrassing his teenage children whilst falling off bikes, boats and boards of all varieties, often combining these skills.
